Critical updates
Please review the following critical hardware, software, and commissioning updates before starting an Enphase Energy System installation.
By installing new more powerful panels with IQ8 Microinverters, installers can unlock the full potential of systems where IQ7 Microinverters are already installed. IQ8 Series Microinverters can be added to existing IQ7 systems on the same IQ Gateway in a grid-connected PV installation.

An additional IQ Gateway is not required when expanding an IQ7 Microinverter site with IQ8 Microinverters. An automatic software upgrade during commissioning of the newly added IQ8 Microinverters will ensure compatibility with the existing IQ7 Microinverters present at the site.
Commissioning the new IQ8 Microinverters requires the latest Enphase Installer App 4.5 and IQ Gateway software version 8.3.5052 or higher.

Enphase has launched the IQ Relay in India. A grid monitoring and disconnection device for both single-phase and three-phase systems, the IQ Relay improves system reliability by physically isolating IQ Microinverters from the grid when it senses voltage or frequency abnormalities, loss of mains from the grid, or any anomaly as set by grid regulations.
