This guide explains how to integrate your Enphase IQ EV Charger 2 with ChargeLab. It is designed for both installers and owners to ensure a seamless setup and activation process.
After integration, you can use ChargeLab to:
- Authenticate charging sessions
- Add/Edit RFID cards
- Monitor data for all charging sessions
- View historic consumption data
Owners can still use the Enphase App to monitor and control their chargers including:
- Start/Stop EV charging
- Set/Update all charging modes
- Monitor real-time and historical energy consumption
- Monitor data for all charging sessions
- Generate charging reports
- Manage charger settings
Note: Authentication settings will be blocked in the Enphase App. Owners need to use ChargeLab portal to manage RFID Authentication settings.
Integration steps
Step 1: Install and commission the IQ EV Charger 2
- Install the IQ EV Charger 2. Refer to the quick install guide for the steps to install the charger
- Use the Enphase Homeowner App or Enphase Installer App to commission the charger. Please refer to the Enlighten app commissioning video or ITK app commissioning video.
Step 2: Enable integration with ChargeLab
To initiate the integration with ChargeLab:
- Open the Enphase Enlighten App
- Go to: Menu → Settings → IQ EV Charger 2 → Partner Integrations
- Select ChargeLab
- Review access permissions and tap Enable
- Once you tap Enable, a registration request is sent to the ChargeLab platform. The screen will show Active status if the registration is successful.
To disconnect the charger from the partner:
- Click on the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner
- Click on Revoke access
- Click on Confirm to disconnect the charger
Step 3: Register the charger on ChargeLab
Commercial:
Contact ChargeLab at deployments@chargelab.co to ensure you have access to the ChargeLab dashboard and to confirm that the charger has been registered.
Residential:
- Open the ChargeLab App
- Navigate to the My Chargers tab
- Select Add Home Charger → Enphase
- Choose the correct model (based on Part Number):
- Enter the charger’s serial number
- Agree to the terms
Step 4: Activate the charger on ChargeLab
How to manage authentication once the charger is connected
Commercial:
On each plug-in, you need to authenticate the session by presenting a valid RFID card or remotely by scanning the QR code using the web app/mobile app. Charging will not start unless the session is authenticated.
Authentication settings will be blocked from Enphase App and cards already added on Enphase App will be removed. Use ChargeLab portal to add or manage RFID cards.
Once integration is completed you would be able to use your RFID card by default for authenticating sessions.
Residential:
On each plug-in, you would not need to authenticate the session. Charging will start automatically once plugged in.
