If you’re a Sunnova installer working with Enphase products, we’re here to support you through this transition. Below are answers to frequently asked questions about warranty coverage, monitoring transitions, or service options.

Yes. Enphase offers a full portfolio of energy solutions—including IQ7, IQ7+, and IQ8 Series Microinverters, IQ Batteries, and IQ System Controllers, for homeowners across the U.S. You can also explore our offerings like IQ EV Chargers and portable energy systems like the IQ PowerPack 1500 for backup and off-grid use.

Many of our products, including the IQ8 Series Microinverters, are manufactured in the U.S. and qualify for domestic content requirements, making them an excellent option for lease and PPA installations.

All Enphase products are available through authorized distributors and partners across the country.

No. Sunnova Protect plans are third-party agreements managed solely by Sunnova.

As an alternative, you can recommend Enphase Care, our paid service plan backed by the manufacturer. It includes:

  • 24/7 monitoring
  • Remote diagnostics
  • Labor for warranty-covered repairs
  • On-site repair scheduling (initiated by customer)
  • $0 deductibles for eligible service

Customers can enroll at care.enphase.com/signup

Yes. Enphase will continue to honor its limited warranty terms for all eligible Enphase products—including microinverters, IQ Batteries, and IQ Gateways—installed in Sunnova systems. Visit our warranty page for full warranty details.

If a product under Enphase warranty is not functioning properly:

  1. Perform on-site troubleshooting first—many issues can be resolved in the field.
  2. If a replacement is needed, log in to service.enphaseenergy.com to request an RMA.
  3. Be sure to include:
    • Proof of purchase
    • Model and serial number
    • Description of the issue
    • Shipping address
  4. Once approved, Enphase will ship a replacement. Please use the original box to return the defective unit.
    • For standard products: generate a return label at returnlabel.enphaseenergy.com
    • For batteries or system controllers: Enphase will coordinate pickup and provide return instructions

Please return the old unit within 60 days to avoid being invoiced.

If their system includes Enphase microinverters or batteries, customers can contact Enphase directly for support. By using the Enphase App, they’ll have access to 24/7 system monitoring, remote diagnostics, and expert assistance directly from the Enphase team.

For systems under a Sunnova lease or PPA, or using non-Enphase equipment, customers should reach out to the contact mentioned on their billing details, for service and monitoring-related questions.

Yes, if the system includes Enphase IQ Microinverters, panel-level monitoring can be enabled.

To set it up:

  • Make sure the system is connected via an IQ Gateway
  • Complete array mapping in the Enphase Installer App during commissioning

Yes. You can add IQ Batteries (including the IQ Battery 5P) to their system. These systems include a new IQ Gateway and are fully supported by Enphase. Contact us to confirm compatibility and support for retrofit or expansion.

Enphase Care is a paid annual subscription plan that provides:

  • Proactive 24/7 system monitoring
  • Remote issue resolution
  • Labor for warranty-covered repairs
  • On-site service scheduling (upon customer request)
  • $0 deductibles for covered services

While not required for standard warranty support, Enphase Care offers added convenience, faster resolution, and labor coverage. It’s helpful if customers are not covered by a third-party service plan.
