Belgium-based installer Earth is redefining what it means to deliver quality, customer-focused solar solutions at scale.
Founded in 2018 by Luc Demeyere and Stijn Rigolle, Earth has quickly become one of Belgium’s top EPC players. In addition to its impressive in-house technical expertise, the installer is backed by the €100 million portfolio of GridLink, a leading energy solutions holding company that has been providing comprehensive energy services since 2013.
As a fully-integrated provider, Earth specializes in delivering customized solar and storage systems that empower energy independence for residential and commercial clients.
“The energy transition has to be for everyone: from homeowners to businesses,” emphasized Luc in a recent conversation with Enphase. “At Earth, we strongly believe in a decentralized deployment of renewable energy. Unlike centralized solutions, distributed energy brings the benefits directly to the customer.”
With over 25,000 residential solar projects across Belgium and its footprint rapidly expanding into France, Germany, Austria, and Poland, Earth is proving that quality, integration, and innovative financing make solar accessible for everyone, even highly sensitive sites like radioactive waste facilities.
Ensuring quality through integration
Earth was founded with a commitment to delivering excellence by maintaining the highest quality at every stage of a client’s solar journey. Originally part of energy broker Enbro’s consulting team, Luc and his colleagues were frustrated with the quality of outsourced installations.
“We were relying on third-party installers to execute our consultancy’s strategy, which meant we weren’t able to enforce our quality standards,” explained Luc. “So, we decided to found Earth and move everything in-house.”
With its consultancy, EPC, and finance under one roof, Earth ensures an excellent customer experience with competitive pricing and a streamlined process. “As a fully-integrated provider, we control the entire value chain,” Luc stated. “This way, we can guarantee that our solutions are installed with precision, using the highest quality materials. Expanding access to solar
Earth removes financial barriers to solar adoption through innovative financing solutions for businesses and homeowners. Its third-party investor model eliminates upfront costs for businesses while delivering immediate operational savings.
“For most companies, investing in alternative energy requires significant capital,” explained Luc. “We’ve developed financing structures that remove the CapEx burden while providing immediate OpEx benefits.”
In addition, Earth currently finances over 5,000 home solar installations across Belgium through simple monthly payments.
“In November 2024, we introduced a groundbreaking product where customers receive solar panels and storage at no cost,” Luc shared. “We guarantee them a fixed energy bill, making the transition to renewable energy accessible and financially attractive.”
Setting new standards at Belgoprocess
Earth’s partnership with Enphase began through an extraordinary opportunity: a 2.2 MW solar system at Belgoprocess, a radioactive waste facility in Dessel, Belgium. The project, which began when Earth won a public tender in Flanders for government building installations, required the highest security and reliability standards and a partner who could deliver a premium system with zero compromises.
“Belgoprocess wanted solar panels on their facility, but the security precautions were enormous,” said Luc. “They needed a 100% secure, top-standard installation, which is why Enphase microinverters were the clear choice.”
The system’s scope is impressive, with 4,000 IQ8HC Microinverters across four rooftops, with plans to expand capacity to up to 8 MW by 2026. The result: the world’s largest microinverter solar installation to date, setting a new industry benchmark and laying the groundwork for a trusted partnership.
The technical teams from Earth and Enphase worked closely to design a system that met Belgoprocess’s stringent requirements. The microinverters by Enphase were selected specifically for their safer AC-based architecture, enhanced cybersecurity features, and superior reliability.
“The Belgoprocess team’s decision to use Enphase microinverters shows their commitment to the highest standards,” stated Luc. “They understand that when it comes to safety and reliability, there can be no compromises.”

A vision for a decentralized future
Earth’s success story continues to gain momentum. Already one of Belgium’s top three solar installers, the company plans to double its turnover by 2027 while expanding further into France, Germany, and new markets like Romania and Croatia.
