Monitor your energy usage

The Enphase App provides real-time visibility into your home’s solar energy production and consumption, helping you understand electricity usage and uncover opportunities to save. To access full energy insights, your system must be equipped with Production and Consumption CTs (current transformers).

To view this data, simply open the Enphase App and tap the STATUS or the ENERGY tab. On the Energy page you’ll see:

• Produced (blue): Energy generated by your system  
• Consumed (orange): Energy used by your home  
• Imported/Exported (grey): Energy exchanged with the grid  
• Net Exported: Surplus energy sent to the grid after meeting home demand

Note: If you have a battery system, you can also view the charge and discharge statuses of the batteries (green). 

You can also tap the ENERGY tab to view the graph that provides hour-by-hour trends, helping you see when your system relies on the grid (typically mornings and evenings) and when it exports excess energy (usually midday). You can also switch between daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly views using the tabs at the top of the ENERGY tab, making it easier to compare patterns and plan your usage. 

If you would like to view the real time energy stats for your system, click the LIVE STATUS button from the top right of your Status tab. Remember, you need to have the Production and Consumption CTs (meters) installed to view this.

For panel-level monitoring, check the Array tab.

If your system doesn’t have consumption monitoring, you can still estimate usage by referring to your electric bill.

You can compare the energy produced, energy consumed (with consumption CTs installed), imported and exported, charge/discharge statuses of batteries by day, month, year, lifetime, or custom period.

Navigate to the Energy tab of your Enphase App and choose the timeline you wish to compare the data for. Also, un-toggle and toggle the type of data you wish to compare.

You can also compare the energy data by generating reports.

Running a performance report in the Enphase App puts valuable insights about your solar system right at your fingertips. Whether you want a snapshot of daily production, a summary for the month, or a detailed multi-year breakdown, the app’s Reports feature delivers customized data that helps you understand how your system is performing and uncover opportunities for optimization  

Navigate to Menu > System > Reports to generate clear, downloadable summaries tailored to your timeframe of interest. It’s an easy way to monitor trends, track savings, and share meaningful system data with installers or other homeowners.
